I’m in a garden and I’m not happy.

I fell on my head from that mango tree.

The one that grew in the shadow of my childhood.

Sticky fingerprints left behind on her skirt.

“I was here before in the garden.”

I’m still depressed.

Give me punishment or pleasure,

Not your indifference.

And then you climb on that tree.

Naked feet picking the fruit.

I’m bombarded with sweetness.

I lie in the coolness of the shade

Dreaming of the pain you’ll bless me with.
