Hey Guys,
My house burned down today. It is perhaps the most traumatic day of my life, as my books that I had accumulated over a number years are all gone. Luckily, I have some backup digital files, but this feels like a real loss. A loss of my friends.
At this time, I just wanted to share this with you. I hope you understand as I cope with this, and although no one was hurt. I’ve died a little inside today.

My neighbours were doing duct cleaning, and for some reason the truck exploded, and soon the fire enveloped my Neighbour’s house. I live in a semi-detached place and the fire spread from their house to ours. I was sleeping inside, and thank God for a random stranger, who woke me up to get me out of the house. I was lucky that I was able to escape but I feel a great loss, over my books, and my treasured things.
Ohhhh my i know how it feels..we can always rebuild everything but as you said those treasures…we cannot have them back..

I was so sorry to read this. We had to evacuate during the Thomas fire. Fire is a big concern where I live. Hundreds of homes burned, many of whom were close friends. My heart is with you. Paulette
