Swimming in the Cosmic Pool

In beaming dull sunset…

Shooting the new dryads

And thud goes the green body

Once…

Shimmering with youth

Now limp and wrinkled,

Propelled by Gilded tides…

Upswept

Climbing waters drowning

His hollow screams,

Screwing faucets on backwards—

Eroding, Watery excess…

Lungs afloat,

His body a shriveled towel

All soggy and crinkled,

Encrusted with smell of oxygen yesterday,

He is returned to that dry place,

He once abandoned…

To be the fastest swimmer…

Only to be squirted

A hardened spongy mess.

This website is something that is needed on the web, someone with a bit of

That is such a compliment, Eusebia…I don’t even know what to say. Thank you for finding my work original, I do try hard to stand out from the rest but I’ve definitely learned a few things from the amazing people on this site. I would love to keep hearing from you because that is the thing that keeps pushing me to post content here. Thank you! 😃
